A Disturbing Addition to the Jewish Film Festival in San Francisco
The StandWithUs staff is extremely concerned that the Jewish Film Festival, which is about to open in San Francisco, will include the new film about Rachel Corrie and that the organizers have invited Rachel Corrie's mother to speak. We recall that the Corries are dedicated to promoting boycott and divestment from companies that do business in Israel. And we have just learned that one of the board members of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is a key member of the extremist group, Jewish Voice for Peace, which is also dedicated to boycott and divestment.

The Jewish Film Festival is copresenting the "Rachel" film event with two virulently anti-Israel extremist groups, the Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). Both organizations unabashedly call for and support divestment from, boycotts of and sanctions directed against Israel.
The JVP routinely demonstrates against AIPAC and Israel and encourages boycotts and isolation of both.
On January 10, 2009, JVP (a copresenter of the Jewish Film Festival's "Rachel" event) participated in an extremist anti-Israel protest in San Francisco.

We have now learned that the acting national director of JVP, Rachell Pfeffer, is on the board of directors of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.
On September 25, 2008, the AFSC, (also a copresenter of the Jewish Film Festival's "Rachel" event), hosted Iranian President Ahmadinejad at a celebratory
dinner in New York.
Cindy Corrie (president of the Rachel Corrie Foundation (RCF)) will speak at the Jewish Film Festival by invitation. Cindy Corrie has been relentless in her continuous delegitimization campaign against Israel and promotion of the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel International Solidarity Movement (ISM). Her RCF site hosts posts like Who Will Stop the AIPAC Jews Before it is Too Late?
The JVP, AFSC, ISM and RCF are unambiguously anti-Israel extremist groups. Yet the film festival's director, Peter Stein, has dismissed all complaints and vows to go forward with this propaganda event.

Contacting the Jewish Film Festival Leadership.
Tell them that you are very disturbed by the inclusion of the Rachel Corrie film and the groups that support it because they are self-proclaimed enemies of Israel. Including this film casts a dark and embarrassing shadow upon the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival. Please write your letter within the next 24 hours.
