Several thousand Muslims, Jews and Christians joined together to
protest the
dangerous and irresponsible remarks made by Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad when he called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."
Iranian Muslims care deeply for their fellow countrymen who are
currently suffering under an extremist regime and this kind of
incitement prompted
their call for a protest on Sunday, November 6th.
Posters were held that stated: Israel is on the map to stay,
as well as I R A N spells DANGER AHEAD.
Traffic was tied up on Wilshire Blvd. and it was hard to park,
but the rally was extremely successful. This marks the first
time that Los Angeles witnessed a rally organized by the Iranian Muslim
community and supported by significant members of the Jewish
and Christain communities. |
