May of 2006:
The Muslim Student Union at UC Irvine brought extremist
speakers to the campus for their
"Holocaust in the Holy Land" week of anti-Israel propaganda.
Speeches divided Muslims and Jews on campus. There was
nothing pro-peace about any of these programs. Some of the speeches
were actually anti-Semitic, as they justified suicide bombing and cheered
Hamas and Hezbollah, and called for an end to the Jewish state.
HATEFUL RALLY WITH CHANTS that call for the end of Israel
The MSU built an "apartheid wall" and
students read the one-sided inflametory propaganda
that covered the wall. The intention of the wall was to demonize Israel
through misinformation and
gross exaggerations.
MSU students dressed up as rough, unreasonable,
violent "Israeli Soldiers" in order to demonize Israel.
They engaged in street theatre, harrassing passers-by (other MSU students
who were participating)
The Pro-Israel campus community were offended by the radical rhetoric,
and responded with silent demonstrations while the speakers were spewing hateful concepts.
They held signs like: Suicide Bombing is Mass Murder, etc.
During a hate march, (which you can view on the video posted on our home page)
the pro-Israel, pro-peace community responded with songs of peace like:
All we are saying, is give peace a chance, Oseh Shalom Bimromav, Am Yisrael Chai, etc.
