International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The International Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed yearly on January 27, is a day of remembrance of the six million Jewish people who were murdered in the Holocaust. The date, designated by the UN in 2005, commemorates the liberation of Auschwitz by the Red Army in 1945.
