StandWithUs Condemns Vandalism of Gandhi Statue

Richmond Hills, Queens, NY -- August 10, 2022


StandWithUs condemns the vandalism of the Mahatma Gandhi statue outside of a Hindu temple in Queens, NY and commends local community leaders for coming together to denounce this hateful act.

An attack on one community is an attack on all, and we stand in solidarity with our friends in the Hindu community. Avi Posnick, Regional Director StandWithUs Northeast & New England, expressed his outrage, "There should be zero tolerance for these expressions of ethnic and religious intolerance. We stand with our Hindu community members and hope that through our unity, we can help erase the hate and ignorance which are at the root of these crimes."
