(LOS ANGELES, April 3, 2020) -- – StandWithUs is outraged over the unjust and atrocious ruling by the Sindh High Court that commuted the sentence of the main person responsible for the horrific murder of Wall Street Journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002 and acquitted three accomplices. These four individuals will reportedly remain in detention for three months, pending a government appeal of the ruling.

Pearl’s murderers released a video titled, “The Slaughter of the Spy-Journalist, the Jew Daniel Pearl.” In the video Pearl said: “My name is Daniel Pearl. I'm a Jewish American from Encino, California, USA. I My father's Jewish, my mother's Jewish, I'm Jewish... Back in the town of Bnei Brak (in Israel) there is a street named after my great grandfather, who was one of the founder of the town." He was then mercilessly beheaded.

Roz Rothstein, co-founder and CEO of StandWithUs stated, "We demand that the Government of Pakistan appeal this unjust ruling to the Pakistani Supreme Court and ensure that the four convicted terrorists are not released during the appeal process. We applaud the United States for its condemnation of the court ruling and for its pressing the Pakistani government to reverse this miscarriage of justice. Otherwise, terrorism will achieve a victory, making the world that much less safe.”
