StandWithUs is an international and non-partisan Israel education organization that inspires and educates people of all ages and backgrounds about Israel, challenges misinformation and fights antisemitism. Reporting to the Executive Director of Research & Strategy, the Policy Researcher & Analyst will:

• Track daily developments in U.S. school districts, city councils, state legislatures, and other government bodies.

• Share timely and actionable information with StandWithUs staff and partner organizations.

• Empower communities to better educate about Israel and fight antisemitism at the state and local level across the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in and daily user of local and state government tracking software, Google Alerts, and other tools, updating and refining search terms as needed.

• Review a large volume of search results with exceptional attention to detail, identifying developments that are relevant to the mission of StandWithUs.

• Collect the data in a highly organized way for internal and external reporting.

• Analyze relevant information and send out concise summaries and recommended actions to relevant StandWithUs staff and partner organizations.

• Assist StandWithUs staff, partners, and stakeholders with grassroots activism and civic engagement, including by helping to create toolkits.

• Assist with the creation of email campaigns and action alerts.

• Develop and maintain working relationships with local and national partner organizations of StandWithUs.

• Work with numerous StandWithUs departments simultaneously, such as the High School, Campus, K-12 Educator Network, Legal, and Social Media departments, as well as regional offices.

• Consistent and professional communication with colleagues, partner organizations, educators, students, and other stakeholders.

• Assist in the preparation and execution of local, regional, and national conferences, events, and summits as needed (this may include leading educational presentations or sessions).

• Additional Duties – The Policy Researcher & Analyst should be available to the executive management for additional assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have a B.A. in a relevant field.

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in public policy and research preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to do quality research and analysis.

• In-depth knowledge of and passion for Israel, the Jewish people, fighting antisemitism, international affairs, and current events.

• Strong writing and editing skills.

• Knowledge about K-12 education, local politics, and state government preferred.

• Grassroots organizing and civic engagement experience preferred.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, including public speaking and presentation skills.

• Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a changing research environment.

• A high degree of creativity and flexibility in order to resolve problems, overcome obstacles, and meet organizational objectives and demands.

• Detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, reliable, team player, proactive, strong work ethic, leadership skills; ability to multitask.

• Demonstrated project management, supervisory and time management skills.

• Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office, Google Drive, and other applications.

• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a team Position

Location: Flexible within the United States.

Position Start Date: Immediately Upon Hire

Salary Range: $55,000-65,000 commensurate with experience.
