SFSU Students: 'Not Surprised' Professors Used US Taxpayer Money to Meet with Terrorists
Truth Revolt

Daniel Mael

Kayla Wold, a recent San Francisco State University graduate, told TruthRevolt that she is "not surprised" that two professors used school issued taxpayer money to meet with terrorists who have ties to American deaths. Via email, Wold also highlighted the anti-Semitic environment on campus:

In the years I've spent at San Francisco State University as an undergraduate student I have been overwhelmed by the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda that I have heard, witnessed and lived vicariously through with peers of mine. On countless occasions, I have been told the curriculum incorporated in SFSU classrooms have shown perspectives on the Middle East, specifically Israel and the Palestinian narrative, shedding a negative light on Jews and Israel. Seeing this mirrored by the school itself is something expected when coming across these ideologies in the predominant classroom setting at SFSU.

Wold told TruthRevolt that in the atmosphere that the university has allowed to develop she has "experienced marginalization, anti-Semitism and a need to suppress my identity and ideologies." She also noted that  "from simply tabling on the quad with an Israeli flag or having the emblem on my backpack, the bullying is inevitable from other student organizations."

"I am not surprised that a faculty member at my university has the support of the college to facilitate such a trip. What does surprise me is the people who help fund my university, the taxpayers, are willing to let this happen," she added.

Junior Kailee Jordan echoed Wold's sentiment, telling TruthRevolt, "sadly, it isn't that surprising," adding, "When it comes down to it, the school is funding the spread of terrorist beliefs. What kind of positivity does this bring? it's promoting hate instead of tolerance. It's segregating Israeli/Palestinian students instead of unifying them. Obviously nothing progressive or positive was supposed to come from this trip and it really reveals the true intention of this professor."

Jordan also expressed outrage over the misuse of taxpayer money, "Tax money is something that is supposed to be used for education and benefiting students ... meeting with terrorists isn't educational or advocating anything positive at all. It's just sad, honestly, that it's easy for this professor to get funding to promote something hateful and is harder for us to get things funded to celebrate our cultures like building a Jewish mural."

On campus, student Mohammad Hammad posted a photograph online in late 2013 and wrote, “I seriously can not get over how much I love this blade ... It is the sharpest thing I own and cuts through everything like butter and just holding it makes me want to stab an Israeli soldier..."

Hammad's behavior warranted an FBI investigation.

Roz Rothstein, CEO of StandWithUs, shared the students' concerns about misuse of taxpayer money and challenged the university to take action:

It is unconscionable that Professor Rabab Abdulhadi deceived university officials, telling them she would be engaged in university-related business on a trip to the Middle East so she could receive a $7,000 university grant, when in fact the trip was connected only to her political agenda. We are also concerned that Professor Abdulhadi met with members of U.S.-designated Palestinian terrorist organizations.  California tax payers would be incensed to learn that a publicly-funded university used their money to support political activity and anti-Israel extremism.  The university should demand that Professor Abdulhadi return the money which she received under false pretenses.  If SFSU Professor Rabab Abdulhadi wants to support a political cause, that is her personal choice and she is free to do so with her own money.

As TruthRevolt reported, a California Public Records Act inquiry revealed that multiple professors from San Francisco State University met with terrorists on a trip funded by the university. Professors Rabab Abdulhadi and Joanne Barker, along with Abdulhadi's husband, met with terrorists Leila Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah during the "Labor Delegation to Palestine 2014" which began on January 5th, 2014 and concluded on February 14th, 2014.

Khaled was a prominent member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), for which she hijacked airplanes and participated in other terrorist activities. PFLP is known to have murdered at least 20 Americans. Salah has previously been convicted for funding and assisting Hamas and aiding other terror-related activities.
